My journey into the wilderness came as a result of looking for equilibrium. An escape from 80 hours work weeks, bad Los Angeles traffic and a glorified tech culture of “crushing it”. The raw wilderness provided a sanctuary for me. It was the perfect prescription for finding balance. The longer outside I was the better I felt.
Over the years my love grew for the wild and inspired me to quit my big city life in search of an outdoor-focused lifestyle. So naturally, I landed in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Much of my new Utah lifestyle includes what I expected it to be–no traffic, more time to enjoy my outdoor pursuits, a deeper tan, and a greater sense of community than the one I was used to. Most importantly it gave me an opportunity to immerse and challenge myself in ways I could never have imagined. I have learned so many things while being in the wild. I try to take those lessons and translate them into all aspects of my life.
I feel passionate about sharing that excitement for adventure while promoting the conservation of the very places that have provided these wonderful experiences. What better way to do that then by investing in our future? Both by keeping our lands free of unnecessary waste and giving the gift of the great outdoors to our youth.
